Minnmouth is a new book of poems by Alec Finlay. Tidesongs is composed from phrases and elements in the poems, and together the book and audio make ideal companions. Minnmouth bodes the inshot and ootshot tide: sea rise, coastal inundation, and the promise of marine renewables. The poems are anchored by place-names; they are composed in and impelled by the regional languages of the East Coast of the British Isles, from the Out Stack of Unst to Great Yarmouth.
